The lamp features a special black shrink lacquered metal shade combined with teak and brass elements.

In good vintage condition.
Easy to hang. With wall plate to properly fix the lamp, this plate is often missing.

Edison screw-fitting (E27) for one 25-40 Watt. lightbulb.
We recommend LED bulbs.
Fully cleaned and equipped with a new electrical cord with switch, 132 cm. / 52 inch. long.
(European two-pin power plug) Plug type: C.
Also works with type E and type F.

The lamp can also be used as a downlighter, but then the wall plate must be turned over.

Hiemstra Evenblij was founded in 1934, Niek Hiemstra and Evenbij were brothers-in-law who had set up a lighting factory in Delft before the war with money inherited by Hiemstra. The collaboration failed a few years after the war.
The name Hiemstra Evolux existed from 1960 to 1975. The designers were Benno Pettersen, Ilona Kormendy, Jan van Giels, Leo Rutjens and Emile Raaiman. Evolux comes from evolution in light.
The Hiemstra Evolux lamps were sold through Gispen in the 1960s / 70s, among others.
