Very Rare Wall Light

Dutch Design.
Produced in the 60's by Hiemstra Evolux.
Lamp is made of metal.
Color : gray and white.

Measurements :
Height - 22 cm. / 8.6 inch
Wide - 10 cm. / 3.9 inch
Depth- 34 cm. / 13.4 inch

In good vintage condition, over the years, some scratches.
But a very nice rare light.
With wall plate to properly fix the lamp, this plate is often missing.

Edison screw-fitting (E27) for one 25-40 Watt. lightbulb.
Fully cleaned and equipped with a new white electrical cord with switch, 200 cm. / 78" long.
(European two-pin power plug)

Hiemstra Evenblij was founded in 1934, Niek Hiemstra and Evenbij were brothers-in-law who had set up a lighting factory in Delft before the war with money inherited by Hiemstra. The collaboration failed a few years after the war.
The name Hiemstra Evolux existed from 1960 to 1975. The designers were Benno Pettersen, Ilona Kormendy, Jan van Giels, Leo Rutjens and Emile Raaiman. Evolux comes from evolution in light.
The Hiemstra Evolux lamps were sold through Gispen in the 1960s / 70s, among others.
