Space age wall lamp

Made by Philips Holland in the 50's by the Dutch architect and designer Louis Kalff.

This light is complete and original.
The red metal front ring is adjustable by screws

Made completely from metal.
The white metal part is enameled.
In good vintage condition.

Height - 15 cm. / 5,9 inch.
Ø - 38 cm. / 15 inch.

Porcelain Edison screw-fitting E26/E27 for a 100 Watt mirror-head bulb.
Fully cleaned and equipped with a new white electrical cord with switch (300 cm. 118")

Overseas buyers can either change the plug or use a plug converter.

The Dutch architect and designer Louis Kalff (1897-1976) joined Philips in 1925.
He modernize the visual image of the company by designing advertisements and a range of electric products.
In 1946 he became Philips chief designer and head of the lighting division.
In this position he designed a large number of lighting fixtures.
